Hello all, that read this. Yes we are still alive. Yes the wedding was great, I think. I can’t really remember, it was all kind of a blur. I will try posting some photos soon thought, maybe that will help jog my memory. Need less to say a lot has changed. We are adjusting to married life, we are still working on the house and work is…work.
For a quick recap. We honeymooned in French Lick. Mike was sick the whole time. We got back, I got sick. Since then we have been sick on and off. We got most of the re-wiring done on the house so hopefully soon we will get some insulation which will hopefully take down our gas bill. We just have to come up with the money to buy the insulation. Keep your fingers crossed that our tax return comes soon. I think that has us up to date for the most part.
On totally different note, I have taken up a new hobby. Wait for it…wait for it…QUILTING! I so far have finished a baby quilt, started a twin size and am trying to come up with a lay out for a lap quilt. If anyone has any ideas let me know. I am all ears, as usual. Of course I am still knitting, baking and all the other things I do, but now that I am not planning a wedding I have some free time, between cleaning the kitchen and folding clothes, hopefully that means I will remember to blog more.
Sorry, totally lost my train of thought. I got distracted watching my dog try to bury a bone in a blanket. Either way, I should be going, I have three baskets of laundry to fold and a button to sew back on my coat. Mike is in the basement watching the SuperBowl, which I think is part of the reason I have gotten away with just stacking up the baskets and using them as a foot rest.
Well, TTYL.

Hello Everyone that still reads this hoping for some kind of news. Well, I only know of one person that actually reads this. Anyways. I know it has been a very long time and in that time thing got a little crazy. Things are back on track now though. Now that we have a new location and got all the invitations reprinted, put together and mailed out today. I have been a little stressed lately, as most of you may have expected to happen, but to top it all off, I got the brilliant idea to redo the only bathroom in my house with a shower, while working on getting the invitations out, the flowers arrangements redesigned, taking over new things at work (which keep me at work an hour more then most other people here), and try to help my parents get ready to sell their house (great timing on that one, I know.) At least my parents put in the contract that the house can not be shown two weeks prior to the wedding week or two weeks after.
We are also on our third location for tux rental, and hopefully our last. The first on was very rude, so we cancelled our order there. The second one went really well while ordering. Then about a week later we received a phone call from my brother saying there was a “Going Out Of Business” sign in the front window. That was followed by me calling asking all kind of questions and being told that some one in management would call me in the next week and that they wouldn’t actually close till October. A month or more later we still hadn’t heard from anyone and the had fully closed along with all corporate offices. We excepted the fact that we had lost the deposit on Mike’s tux and started looking for alternative location to rent from. We found a place about a month or so ago. We are happy with the service, we are pretty sure they aren’t going to be closing anytime soon, and we found something we both like. Of course a week ago we received a call from another tux location in Indy telling us our order had been transferred to them and we needed to come in to give them a deposit and get remeasured. (Yea Right!) Mike told who ever it was how things were and thankfully we have not heard from them since. He really isn’t happy with things have gone with the tuxes.
We are also no longer having the actual wedding ceremony in a church, due to issues and differences there to, which I will not get into. We changed the location of the reception to, because of issues with the old location too. So now everything is at the wonderful Renaissance Indianapolis North Hotel. The staff there is SO friendly. The decor is amazing. Not to mention I love working with the wonderful Valerie Densmore. If you are wanting to plan a wedding or reception or even both at a wonderful modern location, she is the one to talk to. Not to mention their menu is food you know, love and can pronounce. Working with Valerie, I am finally excited about my wedding and no longer feel like I am working on someone else wedding. It is going to be so much fun and so “Us”. People keep asking me what the theme is. To be honest there is no “real” theme, it is just us and a reflection of our personalities. Which if you know us, you know it will be very interesting. (Let me put it this way, the bridesmaids are in old Hollywood style dresses with vintage jewelry, the groom is wearing black leather Chuck Taylors, I am wear an amazing dress that is so me and we really aren’t going to have to many flowers. So in other words, the theme is US. Did I happen to mention that the ring bearer and flower girl are twin brother and sister that were born the same week that Mike and I meet and started dating, so they are as old as we have been together.) I am so excited.
Well, I know this was long over due and probably not even close to being long enough to cover everything, but I really should get back to work. I will “try” to remember to post more later.
Later,
Blushing Bride
